Shimla Hills is glad to announce its participation at Foodex Japan 2014. The 39th international food and beverage exhibition is the largest trade show in the Asia pacific region.

The exhibition started in the year 1976. Since then, the trade show has contributed greatly by bringing latest in the food industry and facilitating exchange of ideas. On the other hand, the exhibition has been equally helpful in generating huge business opportunities for both exhibitors and visitors.

By participating at Foodex Japan, Shimla Hills enters the Japanese food market with the aim of understanding and exploring it. Going by the statistics, Japan imports about 60 percent of its food each year. Not only this, Japan’s processed food and beverage imports go over $7 billion. This makes Japan world’s third-largest importer, after the United States and the European Union (EU). The possibilities here are immense!

In addition, food safety and quality are two very important factors that Japanese food market demand. Anuga 2013 closed on a very high note with most exhibitors, visitors and buyers feeing euphoric about the final outcome. Our exclusive product range, showcased at this year’s event, received phenomenal response from the trade visitors. The team, representing Shimla Hills at Anuga returned back with a big smile and success that is translating into vital business for Shimla Hills.

The five, very rewarding days at Anuga were filled with usual bustle from morning till day’s end, along with engrossing business discussions between the buyers and exhibitors. Anuga wields the power of 10 trade shows together; no doubt innovation and creativity was at its peak here. In fact this event is a trend setter for international food business, reducing the gap between the demand and supply with quality and diversity.

The footfall at this year’s show was overwhelming. Anuga 2013 was busier from previous few years with 155,000 trade visitors from 187 countries creating a lot of action at the stalls of 6,777 exhibitors.
